Indonesian operators to expand m-payments services

Indonesian mobile operators are expanding their mobile wallet services with more merchants but will need to position their service more strategically to drive further adoption. Mobile operator Telkomsel is planning to boost its e-wallet customer base by 25 percent this year to some 10 million users. "The number of people using Telkomsel e-money facilities, consisting of T-Cash and Tap-Izzy, has only amounted to 8 million users," Telkomsel spokesman Ricardo Indra told The Jakarta Post.
