Indonesian smartphone market posts 7% fall in shipments in Q1 impacted by Covid-19

The Indonesia smartphone market shipped 7.5 million units in Q1, declining by 7.3 percent year over year and 24.1 percent quarter over quarter, hitting a new record low for the last two years, according to IDC. The decline was caused in part by seasonality but mainly was due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the last few weeks of the quarter.
