Inmarsat extends Fleet Xpress throughout Northern Europe

Wednesday 17 August 2016 | 12:00 CET | News
Inmarsat said it is extending its Fleet Xpress broadband service in Northern Europe, enabling it to reach across the North Sea, Norwegian Sea, Barents Sea and Baltic Sea. It will address the requirements of the large number of fishing and offshore support vessels in the region by bringing out segment-specific plans in the fourth quarter. Ronald Spithout, President of Inmarsat Maritime, said the company decided to prioritise this area as a focus for region-specific roll-out after listening to the needs of its customers.
