Inmarsat launches IsatPhone in Brazil

Inmarsat announced that its portfolio of IsatPhone products, which includes the IsatPhone Pro and IsatPhone 2 models, was approved by Globalsat Brasil and will begin shipping in the country. The handheld satellite phones offer voice, data and GPS location services from the Inmarsat I-4 satellite, which has overall availability of 99.9 percent. The IsatPhone line is designed to operate in extreme conditions, users can stay in touch all the time, even in the absence of terrestrial fixed or mobile networks.
