Inmarsat names new L-band services Elera

Thursday 12 August 2021 | 16:48 CET | News
Inmarsat announced the new platform Elera to target the narrowband market. Building on its position in mobile satellite services, Elera will target use cases on land, at sea and in the air, based on Inmarsat's world L-band network. The company said it plans new innovations ranging from higher speeds to smaller, low cost terminals. The upcoming Inmarsat-6 satellites, the first of which (I-6 F1) is scheduled to launch before the end of the year, will support the new services.
