Inmarsat opens first office in China

Inmarsat has opened its first office in China. The new facility, which is based in capital Beijing follows Inmarsat's recent opening of a satellite access station in China's capital city. Inmarsat said that China is one of the biggest markets for the firm's mobile satellite-based voice and broadband services, delivering double-digit growth in the last five years. Inmarsat works through partners in the Chinese market, primarily Beijing Marine Communication and Navigation Co. (MCN), to provide mission-critical communications services to some of China's biggest multinational enterprises
