Inmarsat Q1 revenues down on LightSquared deal

Satellite services provider Inmarsat reported first-quarter revenues down 11.6 percent from a year earlier to USD 313.7 million, hurt by the loss of revenues from US operator LightSquared. Excluding the LightSquared contract, revenues were up 2.4 percent to USD 310.8 million, led by a 3.7 percent increase in mobile satellite services, the company said. EBITDA fell 24.5 percent to USD 155.1 million. Inmarsat said it saw US government retail business slow in the quarter and it plans cost reductions to offset the weaker business in its Solutions division. At the MSS activities, it continued to
