Innopolis launches city LoRaWAN network

The town of Innopolis in Tatarstan republic, in cooperation with the company Everynet, has launched a data network on the basis of the LoRaWAN (Long Range low power Wide Area Network) standard, reports Comnews.ru. Innopolis has become the first town in Russia fully covered with a LoRaWAN network, which will be used for the support of municipal services, including utilities, safe city and others. Work was carried out for two weeks, deploying equipment and cloud infrastructure from Everynet in an investment worth RUB 6 million.
