Innovate UK to fund 5G R&D application projects

Innovate UK has announced plans to invest up to GBP 1 million in collaborative R&D projects to simulate innovative 5G use cases. Projects are expected to range in size from GBP 150,000 to GBP 220,000. Registrations open on 7 December and close on 29 January 2016. The UK innovation agency will hold a briefing event for potential applicants on 10 December. Projects may combine a technical feasibility study and industrial research, but the technical feasibility study must make up at least half of the total project costs.
