Inside Secure revenue up on NFC patent and royalties growth

Mobile and connected device security software company Inside Secure reported FY revenue of USD 49.9 million for 2016, excluding the discontinued semiconductor business sold to WiseKey in September 2016. Revenue increased by 86 percent year-on-year, supported by the non-recurring revenue from the NFC patent programme managed by France Brevets, as well as by strong growth in royalties. The NFC patent monetization programme brought USD 14.2 million worth of annual revenue (compare to nil in 2015), including the license with Samsung agreed in the second quarter of 2016.
