Intel, AT&T, Sonim unveil first pre-certified IoT board

Intel has announced the launch of a new category of pre-certified product boards designed to dramatically accelerate IoT time to market. The new range of ready-to-deploy commercial LTE-based devices are to be made available via Intel's LTE IOT Quick Deployment (LIQD) programme to better address the 50 billion device opportunity that is expected by 2020. The first product to be launched as part of Intel LIQD is an ultra-rugged sensor module made by Sonim Technologies, called XPi, for use on the AT&T LTE network. The commercial device comes with carrier pre-certification and a configurable set
