Internet Society sells .org domain manager to Ethos Capital

The Internet Society announced an agreement to sell the Public Interest Registry (PIR), which manages the .org web domain, to Ethos Capital for an undisclosed sum. PIR is expected to continue its work with similar commitments to the .org community, while the Internet Society will use the proceeds of the sale to support its other work.
