Internet.org launches in Bangladesh with Robi

Internet.org, a Facebook platform that allows free internet browsing over mobile devices, has been introduced in Bangladesh. Initially, subscribers of mobile operator Robi Axiata will have free mobile data to access more than two dozen websites with information on health, news, jobs and e-government services, according to the Facebook page of Internet.org. The Bangladesh ICT Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak launched the service at an event with Robi Axiata. As of March, Robi had around 10 million of the 44.3 million mobile internet users in Bangladesh.
