IoT development poses far-reaching security risks - study

The sheer pace of development of the Internet of Things (IoT) poses an unprecedented security risk, according to a Telefonica report. Entitled 'Scope, scale and risk like never before: Securing the Internet of Things', the report warns that the almost infinite benefits of IoT in a hyper-connected society must be counterbalanced by caution to avoid the catastrophic risks of cyberattacks to individuals, organisations and states.
