IoT enterprise platform Cognosos raises series A round of USD 7 mln

The Atlanta-based IoT start-up Cognosos announced it has completed a USD 7.1 million Series A financing led by Cox Enterprises. Other investors include Covalent Partners and CheckFree founder Pete Kight. The company also announced that Cisco veteran Sandeep Vohra will take over as CEO, and Kight will join the company's board of directors.

Cognosos was founded in 2014 with patented technology developed at the Smart Antenna Lab at Georgia Tech. Its RadioCloud platform help enterprises to deploy IoT services under a SaaS model. The first Cognosos managed service to incorporate RadioCloud is RadioTrax, a fully managed, wireless sensing service for real-time automotive inventory tracking.
