Iran blocks 120,000 mobile phone numbers for unwanted text ads since November 2017

Iran's Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has blocked about 120,000 mobile phone numbers since November 2017 when automated monitoring came into effect, to curb unwanted and annoying text message advertisements, Financial Tribunal reported. People can file complaints with the CRA against the ad senders by conveying their phone number to the communications ombudsman through a text message to 195.
