Iran govt calls on MCI, Irancell to reverse internet price increase

Thursday 23 July 2020 | 12:31 CET | News

Mobile Telecommunications Company of Iran and MTN-Irancell had raised internet prices by 100 percent in early July. By law, the Communication Regulatory Authority, which is affiliated to the ICT Ministry, sets prices for communication services and ratifies a price hike, but when MCI and Irancell applied for a price hike permit, CRA had rejected them.
