Iran, South Korea announce new ICT partnership

South Korea's Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning has signed a wide-ranging partnership with its Iranian counterparts in science and information and communications technology, reports the Korea Herald. The Korean and Iranian governments had a previous ICT agreement in place from 1991 and 2004, until nuclear sanctions put a stop to cooperation. Under the terms of the new memorandum of understanding (MOU), the two sides will run joint research and development projects in science and technology. Leading Korean operators KT and SK Telecom will also seek to team up with Iranian providers
