Irish govt confirms additional broadband funds

Irish Communications Minister Denis Naughten has confirmed more broadband and digital economy funds with his Department's Budget 2017 allocation. The government has allocated additional funding of EUR 5 million to finalise the tender process for the National Broadband Plan in 2017, bringing the total allocation for the NBP in 2017 to EUR 15 million.
