Irish govt preparing legislation to cut rural broadcast costs - report

Tuesday 30 January 2018 | 10:53 CET | News
The Irish Government is working on legislation to cut the cost of access to Eir's ducts and phone polls as it looks to save the National Broadband Plan (NBP), reports the Irish Independent. According to industry sources, this could potentially save the government hundreds of millions of Euros by lowering the subsidy it would need to provide to make the NBP commercially viable.
