Israeli govt plans to shut down 2G and 3G networks by 2025

Partner Communications said a decision by the Ministry of Communications means that its mobile networks operating on the old 2G and 3G technologies will be phased out by 31 December 2025. The ministry said importing mobile devices that support old networks will be banned from 01 January 2022. On 01 January 2023, new devices supporting only the old technologies, including car hands-free devices and M2M end equipment, will not be allowed to connect. Existing 2G and 3G customers will still be able to receive service.
