IT managers expect desktop phones to become obsolete

The majority (84%) of IT managers believe that the influx of smartphones and softphones into business will eventually leave the traditional desktop phone obsolete, according to a survey by UK business internet, hosting and communications service provider Timico. One of the main reasons for this is the steady stream of businesses using free platforms such as Skype and Viber to conduct business call.
