Italian broadcasters form new industry association

Italy's leading broadcasters have formed a new industry group, Confindustria RadioTv. Part of the larger business federation Confindustria, the new group includes Rai, Mediaset, Sky, LA7, Telecom Italia Media and FRT, the radio and television federation representing local broadcasters. They will work to together to address industry regulation and legislation and sector issues such as the role of broadcasters, online content and copyright and competition. The first general assembly to elect statory directors will be held after the summer holidays.
