Italian digital agency director resigns

Agostino Ragosa, the director of Italy's digital agency AGID, has handed in his resignation following a meeting with public administration and simplification minister Marianna Madia. Ragosa was appointed by the Monti government in October 2012 and tasked with supervising Italy's implementation of the Digital Agenda for Europe. Ragosa confirmed that he would remain in office until the appointment of his successor, which is widely expected to be prime minister's office chief Elisa Grande, according to Italian press reports.
