The starting price for the DTT frequency auction in Italy, announced by the Communications Authority (AgCom), will be slightly less than EUR 100 million, instead of the EUR 240 million mooted last week after the announcement of the auction, Italia Oggi reported. The daily claimed that the starting price of each of the three frequency lots will be EUR 30-36 million instead of the EUR 80 million mentioned previously. The regulations for the frequency auction, approved by AgCom last week, are now awaiting the go-ahead from the EU Competition Commission.
