Italian GDP confirmed at 0.4% in Q3

The Italian economy improved to a 1.7 percent annual growth rate in the third quarter of 2017, according to final data from state statistics agency Istat. The final figure was slightly down on the flash estimate but was still the largest year-on-year increase since 2011. Compared to the second quarter, GDP rose by 0.4 percent in what was the 13th straight quarterly growth.

Istat also lowered its full-year estimate of GDP growth to 1.4 percent from 1.5 percent.
