Italian mobile, broadband markets contract in Q3

Italy's four mobile operators lost 340,000 customers in the third quarter, for a total base of 92.34 million at the end of September, according to the latest data from regulator AgCom. Compared to a year earlier, the number of mobile lines was down by 220,000. Wind continued to increase its market share in Q3, by 1.1 percent points to 24.3 percent of customers at the end of September. 3 Italia added 0.2 percent over the same period to reach 10.4 percent, while TIM lost half a percent point to reach 34.2 percent, and Vodafone Italia dropped 0.8 percent points at 31.2 percent.
