Italian online fashion sales to grow by 25% in 2016 - study

Clothing sales are increasingly driving the Italian e-commerce sector, with the fashion sector set to grow by 25 percent to EUR 1.8 billion this year, according to the latest B2C e-commerce update from the School of Management at the Milan Polytechnic. The growth is equivalent to another EUR 365 million in sales compared to 2015, with the sector set to account for 10 percent of the market by the end of the year, said the report. A total of 17.7 million Italian consumers spent an average of EUR 950 each online last year, with the tourism sector still leading the market with 47 percent of
