Italian communications regulator Agcom is set to discuss a possible 30 percent cut in mobile termination rates (MTRs) at a meeting scheduled for 27 September, reports Corriere delle Comunicazioni. Operators have expressed concern about the potential reduction in MTRs from the current figure of EUR 0.0098 to around EUR 0.0065-EUR 0.007, arguing that it could ultimately result in higher tariffs for end-consumers, said the report.
