Italian regulator reduces FTTx infrastructure prices

Italy's Communications Authority (AgCom) approved the prices for wholesale access to Telecom Italia's passive infrastructure (ducts, manholes, fibre optic) and active infrastructure (bitstream NGA, Vula). This infrastructure is used by alternative operators to provide services at up to 30 Mbps on the FTTC network and up to 100 Mbps on the FTTH network. For the FTTC services, Telecom Italia proposed a price of EUR 31.01 per month, but AgCom has reduced the fee for data and voice over IP to EUR 21.51 per month. This is also lower than the price of EUR 24.09 per month published for public
