Italian regulator rejects 3 Italia request for DVB-T switch

Italy's Communications Authority (AgCom) has rejected a request from 3 Italia to switch its DVB-H frequency to DVB-T. According to the present law on the subject, the use of the multiplex cannot be changed, because an ongoing process is underway for the allocation of additional frequencies. Only the review of procedures for the issue of new frequencies could allow a switch from DVB-H to the TV technology DVB-T.
