Italian telecom revenues down 20% in 2011-15 period

The revenues of the Italian telecommunications industry fell by a combined total of 20 percent in between 2011 and 2015, with media revenues plummeting 30 percent over the same period, according to a report from the country's communications regulator Agcom. Although the telecom sector's revenue losses narrowed to just 1.5 percent last year, compared to 11 percent in 2013, the industry's average EBITDA also fell, from 31.9 percent to 23.8 percent, over the five-year period, while occupational levels fell by 14,200.
