Italian utilities body to submit document on broadband plans

Utilitalia, the association of Italian utility companies, has held a meeting to discuss the role of the former municipal utilities in the government's fibre-optic broadband plans, reports Reuters. According to the chairman of Utilitalia, Giovanni Valotti, the association will be submitting a document to the government by mid-June setting out the ways in which utilities could combine their infrastructure to help roll out the fibre-optic network.
