Italian watchdog shuts down 174 websites selling fake goods

Italy's competition authority AGCM said it closed down Italian 174 websites selling counterfeit goods such as sunglasses, sneakers, clothes, jewellery and watches. Many of the sellers concerned had presented themselves as official distributors for well-known brands and failed to adhere to the terms and conditions of sale required of online retailers by law.
