Italy confirms China MoU contains no 5G provisions

Italy's Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) has issued a statement confirming that the Memorandum of Understanding with China due to be finalised prior to the visit of Chinese president Xi Jinping contains no provisions regarding 5G technology. Xi Jinping is visiting Rome and Palermo later this month and Italian PM Giuseppe Conte has indicated he may sign an MoU to join China's "Belt and Road Initiative" (BRI).
