Italy passes strict cyberbullying law

The Italian parliament has passed a strict new law designed to tackle online bullying of children around three years after it was first presented. Under the terms of the new legislation, which for the first time provides a specific legal definition of cyberbullying, all schools are required to educate pupils to use the internet in a responsible manner and to always have a member of staff on hand to deal with the problem. Specifically, the internet cannot be used to offend, slander, threaten or steal the identity of a minor. In that regard, the victim or their parents can now demand that
