Italy's Council of State approves LTE-TV interference plan

Monday 29 April 2013 | 09:34 CET | News
Italy's Council of State has ruled in favour of the regulation proposed by the Ministry of Economic Development to manage interference between television and LTE telephony, reports local daily Corriere delle Comunicazioni. In essence, the regulation introduces a fund with which operators will pay TV antenna installers to resolve the interference caused to TV reception from 4G telephony services on the 800 MHz frequencies. It will be in force until 31 December 2016, subject to a further decision by the ministry.
