ITRI picks Ceva-XC DSP for 4G small cell base stations

ITRI, a Taiwanese research and development organisation, selected the Ceva-XC digital signal processor (DSP) for the development of its new 4G small cell base station platform. ITRI small cell projects are funded from the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) of the Ministry of Economy Affairs (MOEA), Taiwan. ITRI will deploy the Ceva-XC to enable a Software-Defined Radio (SDR) baseband architecture for its small cell platform which provides a 3GPP release 10 compliant LTE Access Point (AP) platform integrating the core functions of baseband signal processing, RF front-end circuit and
