ITU, Cisco Digital Transformation Centres train over 80,000 people, 65% women

The ITU said that its Digital Transformation Centres trained over 80,000 people in the first phase of its Digital Transformation Centres (DTC) Initiative. Of these, 65 percent were women from underserved and marginalised communities. The Initiative, launched in September 2019, saw the ITU partner with Cisco in nine countries to help strengthen the digital capacities of their citizens, particularly in underserved communities.
