Ivory Coast imposes new tax on mobile money transfers

Transactions via mobile money platforms have been subject to a new tax in Ivory Coast since the beginning of the year, reports Agence Ecofin. Users making money transfers are now charged an additional 0.5 percent levy on the amount of the transaction, on top of other charges.
