IXPN to become West Africa's regional IXP

The Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria has been elevated to the status of the West African regional Internet Exchange Point. IXPN CEO Muhammed Rudman said the elevation was attained after the company successfully vied in the Africa Union Commission's African Internet Exchange System project for a Regional Internet Exchange Point for West Africa. Until the recent development, IXPN, an infrastructure provider that allows several ISPs, telecommunications companies, carriers, and content providers to exchange traffic among their networks locally, was primarily focused on localising Internet
