Japan Display losses grow to JPY 83 bln in Q1 after asset writedowns

Monday 12 August 2019 | 10:42 CET | News
Japan Display recorded a net loss of JPY 83.3 billion for its fiscal first quarter to June, widening from a loss of JPY 1.8 billion due to a charge to write-down scrapped production facilities. Revenues fell 12.5 percent to JPY 90.4 billion as the company suffered from reduced smartphone demand and the US-China trade tensions.
