Japan Display revenues fall in FY, pulled down by Mobile, Automotive

Japan Display (JDI) said revenues declined for its full-year to end March but that losses narrowed. Results were hard hit at Mobile, which experienced a decline in the demand for smartphone LCDs from a major customer. JDI said it did make significant cuts in fixed costs, including the sale of its Hakusan plant, and that demand was strong for smartphone LCDs for Chinese customers. Results were also lower at Automotive, impacted by the virus pandemic.
