Japanese telecom group KDDI announced that its French subsidiary has invested more than EUR 100 million in a data centre project in Paris, which will deliver the first tranche of infrastructure during Q1 2021. The facility, named 'Leon Frot' and located in the capital's eleventh arrondissement, will offer clients 4,500 square metres of server rooms and have 5 megawatt of IT power. Premises nearby will be able to use heating generated by the data centre thanks to a heat recovery system, said the company.
