Jazztel to add Wi-Fi offload functionality to new routers

Spanish broadband provider Jazztel is to install Wi-Fi offload functionality in all new routers supplied to ADSL and fibre customers so that they can share their access points with other Jazztel customers and create a Wi-Fi network. The idea is to alleviate traffic congestion and meet growing data demand by allowing all Jazztel mobile customers to automatically access the Wi-Fi service when they are within the area covered by the routers. Although the Wi-Fi offload functionality is included by default on the new routers, Jazztel's customers have the option of switching it off via the device's
