JCom to acquire IP Power Systems

Cable service provider Jupiter Telecommunications (JCom) will acquire IP Power Systems, a firm that supplies electricity to condominium complexes, in a deal estimated at JPY 10 billion, reports the Nikkei. JCom aims to draw more subscribers to its mainstay broadcast and telecommunications offerings by bundling them with electricity supplied by IP Power Systems. It will complete the purchase of all IP Power Systems stock from shareholders as early as September. Soon, JCom subscribers will be able to pick 'power' from the menu.
