JD.com, Tencent launch Xbox presale offer in China

Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencentm in partnership with with Chinese e-commerce group JD.com will offer early advance sales of Microsoft's Xbox One consoles in China, The WSJ reports. Tencent's WeChat and mobile QQ messaging software will be able to reserve the new Xbox with a deposit of CNY 499 (approximately USD 81), before the company begins taking preorders from other Chinese consumers on 31 July. Microsoft said the consoles would be delivered in September. JD.com released no console pricing details.
