Johannesburg residents criticise city council plans to privatise broadband network

Soweto residents are not happy with the City of Johannesburg's (COJ's) plans to sell its ZAR 1.2 billion broadband network project to the private sector, reports ITWeb. The COJ's Metropolitan Trading Company (MTC), which manages the network, concluded its last public meeting with residents and potential customers in Soweto on 17 August.
