John Laing invests EUR 30 mln to buy German VSDL ISPs and roll out FTTP

Infrastructure investment firm John Laing said it has acquired the German providers of VSDL internet services EFN eifel-net Internet-Provider and Jobst NET. The firm aims to leverage synergies between the two companies to create a platform to invest in rolling out FTTP. John Laing has committed EUR 30 million to acquire the two businesses and to finance a first phase of fibre roll-out over the next year.
