Jumia Kenya sends home 6% of staff as losses rise

Jumia Kenya has sent home about 6 percent of its employees, days after its parent company announced the closure of its operations in three countries, Business Daily reported. Jumia recently shut down operations in Cameroon, Tanzania and Rwanda. Jumia said the move followed careful consideration and after some headcount reductions across its business verticals and geographies.
